Unibots CIC cookie policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on our website and Unibots Hub. Our privacy notice explains how we use account details and server-side activity records.
What we use
| Cookie | Why we use it | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| PHP session cookie "PHPSESSID" | Holds a session identifier so the Unibots Hub knows which account is signed in as you move between pages. It is needed for the signed-in service. | 30 days from the time you sign in. Using the Hub does not extend this period. Signing out or deleting the cookie ends the session sooner. |
| Organiser article drafts (browser sessionStorage; not a cookie) | On the organiser knowledge-base editor only, stores unsaved article titles, Markdown and categories in this browser tab so a draft can be recovered. Drafts are separated by a signed-in account. Storing them here does not itself send them to our server. | For this tab's page session, including reloads or browser restore. Normally removed when the tab closes; we clear account-specific drafts on sign-out or account change. |
We do not currently use cookies or similar browser storage for analytics, advertising or embedded videos. We do not ask for consent for the Unibots Hub session cookie because it is necessary to provide the signed-in service you request. The cookie is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict. If you block or delete it, you may need to sign in again or may be unable to use the Unibots Hub while signed in. We treat the limited organiser draft storage as necessary to provide the temporary draft-recovery function in the editor, so we do not ask for separate storage consent for that function.
